We are located in the center and the heart of New York City, NY across the biggest store in the world, Macy's. AlterationsNYC was founded on the principle of QVC which stands for Quality, Value, and Convenience. We strive to provide the best service humanly possible.

THE TOOLS

Handwork + Machine Sewing

We alter as much as we can by hand. A simple pant hem has over 200 individual hand stitches. Sometime, some seams require machines. In that case, we prep the seams by hand, and use machines as the final step.

We use industrial grade designer sewing machines by Juki, the same machine used by the world's biggest designers including Armani, Burberry, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Meet Our Talented Team

Our head fitter Jared, was born into tailoring. Jared is a third generation tailor. He specializes in both Italian Slim Fit, and British Modern Cut Fit Suits. Jared is in charge of quality control, ensuring your garments are tailored with precision and fit to your standards. Our on site manager JD, focuses on every aspect of your customer service and satisfaction. He will ensure your garments are completed within the time frame and is in charge of your follow-up appointments.

We Visit You (preferred )

We come to you at the time of your choosing with fitting tools including measuring tape, chalk, and pins. We can bring a mirror by request.
We pin up the garments and make recommendations on fit.
A no-obligation price quote is provided (house call fee may apply).
Once price quote is approved, we take it back to our workshop and start working. We will deliver in about a week, but if you need it back sooner, we can deliver as soon as you need. Next day rush service available for a fee.
